Inclusive Reading in the 21st Century: Ref 051113

This session will look at how easy it is to create an inclusive reading environment using ebooks, e-reading, ITC and multimodal texts. We will discuss the pros and cons of some of the most popular e-reading devices. We will explore where reading materials for these devices can be best accessed and how easy it can be for you or your students to create content that can be accessed on such devices. Sandy will also demonstrate some of the assistive technologies that exist (some of them free) that enable students with moderate to severe reading difficulties to participate independently in everyday reading activities.
