Who we are?
The name SPELD stands for SPEcific Learning Difficulties
SPELD is a non profit organisation that provides advice and services to children and adults with specific learning difficulties and those who care for, teach, and work with them.
SPELD (SA) was founded in 1969.
SPELD is run by a council, whose members include parents, teachers, accountants, lawyers, psychologists, optometrists, doctors, speech pathologists and other interested professionals.
SPELD recieves an annual grant from the Minister for Education and Children's Services and is also reliant on donations from the public.
