We will explore where reading materials for these devices can be best accessed and how easy it can be for you or your students to create content that can be accessed on such devices. Sandy will also demonstrate some of the assistive technologies that exist (some of them free) that enable students with moderate to severe reading difficulties to participate independently in everyday reading activities.

Jolly Phonics IWB Program: Ref 200213
This program only comes as a site licence so consideration needs to be given prior to purchase. It is however, a brilliant tool for teaching Jolly Phonics, providing a full and extensive programme applicable more broadly than just the reception year. Lessons can be delivered in a fun and engaging way to children using a wide variety of activities for whole class, group and individual use. All resources required are at the touch of a finger, which saves purchasing many other aids. Structured daily lessons for teaching each letter sound, letter formation, blending, identifying sounds in words, tricky words and alternative spellings of vowels. Detailed teacher notes are available for each lesson on screen or to print. Come and learn how to use the program in a truly interactive way instead of just as a show and tell. Suitable for use on all types of whiteboards.
